Candlelite Cove: Policies & Vacation Cottage Information
Welcome to your U.P. Lake Huron vacation home!
Your De Tour Village vacation rental check in time is 4pm or anytime afterwards. You will have the lock box code in advance of your stay. There is also an additional key located in the Candlelite Cove kitchen.
A maximum of six persons (including infants and children) are allowed as we want you to be very comfortable. No house parties are allowed. If more than six persons are at Candlelite Cove, you will all be asked to leave immediately with no refund. At least one person must be 23 years of age or older to rent.
Please note that Candlelite Cove has a beautiful but rocky beach that is not suitable for children. There is a sandy beach approximately 1/4 of a mile away. Care must be taken on the beach, and swim shoes are recommended.
Candlelite Cove has a septic system, so only flush septic safe toilet paper (provided). Anything else must be tossed into the trash. Also with the septic system, we ask you to refrain from putting grease down the sink. A container with a plastic bag is located underneath the sink.
To make your stay a most memorable one, the kitchen is very well supplied with a wide variety of items down to an assortment of cook books. In case of an accident with a breakable item, please replace it with something comparable, or leave a note and payment for a replacement.
No pets are allowed at Candlelite Cove with the exception of trained service dogs, and no smoking. All flooring and furnishings are new and we sure want to keep them looking that way.
If housekeeping finds any signs of either pets or smoking, a $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Cancellation Policy For Candlelite Cove:
A minimum deposit of $200.00 must be received within two (2) days of your De Tour Village vacation rental reservation booking.
Full payment is expected seven days before arrival.
Reservations will be confirmed by email or over the phone.
Your deposit may be made via check, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover.
Deposits are returned, less a $50 handling fee, for cancellations received one week in advance of arrival dates.
If you must cancel with less than seven (7) days notice, we will be unable to refund your $200.00 deposit, however, it may be applied to a new reservation unless the cancellation is received less than 24 hours prior to arrival date.
Deposits will be held for one year.
Cancellations made on the same day as expected arrival will not receive a refund or a credit.
