Candlelite Cove
Vacation Cottage - De Tour Village, Upper Peninsula MI
Candlelite Cove is a comfortable, completely relaxing home away from home that has just been newly redone from top to bottom. Your getaway is tucked off of scenic M-134 along a private gravel road.
Nearby are a dozen beautiful stretches of stunning beaches dotting the drive between Cedarville and De Tour Village, Michigan. Even in the middle of the summer on the most perfect of sunny days, you will pretty much have the beaches to yourselves. Your De Tour Village vacation home is directly on 200 feet of Lake Huron frontage, facing westerly for incredible sunsets. After the sun goes to sleep, the stars come out to play. The fireflies and dark skies are more feasts for the eyes. Binoculars will be waiting. Bring your boats, snowmobiles, ATV's, and also check out our page of various rentals and charters that are available in the area. |
The open yard allows for plenty of room to play outdoor games that you will find in the large two car plus separate garage. On the lake side is a spacious deck for Lake Huron viewing with plenty of cozy seating.
With a maximum of six persons, everyone will find their favorite places. Outside are a comfy swing for two, with a pair of Adirondack rockers around the lakefront stone fire pit. Between this area and the deck is the bright blue hammock for two. Up on the large deck is cushioned seating for four more and nestled to the right is an adorable L shaped lounger. Enjoy the variety and ever changing setting with lovely dense trees along either side. Majestic Lake Huron frontage is stunning at every hour of the day year round. Gaze out at the cove with its two islands, and watch the freighters glide by in the deeper waters of Lake Huron. Collect stones, gather and giggle around the new fire pit, and bird watch. Eagles occasionally fly so closely over the house you can hear the flapping of their wings. |
